Footballers have always been accused of being a bit dense between the ears, but some of them really do go that extra mile to look stupid and one such culprit is none other than Mr Wayne Rooney.

Rooney took to Twitter today to try and defend his actions in influencing ref Chris Foy in yesterdays FA Cup game between Man City and Man Utd,

He wrote: Funny how people think i got kompany sent off. Im not ref. i didnt give red card. But it was a clear red card. 2 footed tackle.

Seriously Rooney? do you not watch TV in your house?

There is also a doubt about her running in the J &B Met on January 28 and she is 6-4 favourite for that.

She pulled up coughing after an exercise gallop on Monday and mucopus was found in her trachea.

Trainer Mike de Kock said: “The respiratory infection is not serious, horses normally recover quickly and we’ve treated her with antibiotics.

   

“We would still love to run her in the Met but we have to take caution all the same. We will make a decision at the end of the week because her participation will have a big impact on the betting. W

Fuel TVs upcoming weekly MMA news program, UFC Tonight released a preview of a segment called, Chaels Corner (see video below) featuring Chael Sonnen in all his witty glory, taking verbal jabs at the usual suspects: Lyoto Machida, Wanderlei Silva, and Anderson Silva. Got to hand it to Chael, he is ceaselessly equipped with a fresh take on the same old insults. Sonnen also hints that once he earns back his title-shot, he isnt planning to fight the Middleweight Champion, Silva and suggests that Jon Jones and Georges St. Pierre should be swallowing real deep right now, which conjures up imagery that frankly makes me feel quite uncomfortable.

The Philadelphia Phillies already have the best record in the National League and they are the favorites in sports betting to win the World Series and now they are getting All-Star second baseman Chase Utley back from injury.

Utley has not played at all this season due to patellar tendinitis in his right knee but he could be in the lineup on Monday with the Phillies favored at home in online sports betting against the Cincinnati Reds.
