The city of New Orleans will be rocking for Monday Night Football as the Saints host the New York Giants.

The latest odds for this game and all of the great games in the NFL this weekend can be found at the top rated online sportsbook, Bet Phoenix. Here are a few keys to the big game on Monday Night Football. This is a glaring mismatch. New Orleans has the worst pass-blocking offensive tackle tandem in football in Jermon Bushrod (left side) and Zach Strief (right side). Bushrod is slow and has awful technique. Strief is just slow. The sack numbers do not reflect this because Drew Brees is a magician when it comes to getting rid of the ball quickly and moving in and out of the pocket. Read all post…

Carlo Tevez has reiterated his desire to leave Manchester City, 7/2 with bet365 to win the Premier League title this season.

The 27-year-old, currently on Copa America duty with Argentina, wants to leave Eastlands so that he can be nearer his daughters, but says he will be going with regret.
At the weekend it was reported that a proposed deal with Inter Milan to exchange Samuel Eto’o for Tevez had fallen through and it could now be that the striker returns to Argentina, who are 5/1 to beat Colombia 2-0 in the Copa America on 7th July.
In a statement, Tevez confirmed: “It is with great regret that I have to inform Manchester City of my wish to leave the club.”

LA Galaxy are ready to make an effort to sign Liverpools Dutch International Dirk Kuyt with a view to signing the player in January but loaning him back to Liverpool for three months.

Kuyts time at Liverpool is coming to and end and it was always thought that he would return to his native Holland, however the speculation is that it is LA Galaxy that he is destined for.

LA Galaxy will be looking to bring in a couple of new players this winter, especially with David Beckham set to leave, and have identified Kuyt as the perfect choice, he may be 31 years old, but they feel that he could offer them at least two good seasons before he retires, possibly even three.

It would be an interesting dilemma for Kuyt, he has expressed the wish to return to his old club Feyenord, but it seems their interest is minimal and it was always going to be difficult for him to set up camp at Ajax, another club linked with the 31 year old.

LA Galaxy have a habit of going for players coming to the twilight of their careers and it makes sense that they would want Kuyt, question remains, would he go to the USA?

We will all know soon enough.

Trainer Moore is likely to have an embarrassment of riches to choose from in the forthcoming trio of Group 1 races reserved for four-year-olds – Admiration and Smart Giant are already highly regarded Derby contenders not to mention the likes of British recruits Dominant and Rave who have yet to race locally – but he will no doubt also find a slot for Captain Sweet in the Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Classic Mile at the end of January.

Australian-bred from the first crop of leading young stallion Fastnet Rock, Captain Sweet is a graduate of the now disbanded Subscription Griffin scheme whereby some Hong Kong owners picked up their horses by ballot for a fixed fee.

Owner Wong Chin-leung certainly fared best of his peers in being allocated Captain Sweet, a gelding who has won six of his ten starts and has yet to finish out of the first three.

His latest victory came the hard way, too, under top weight from a wide gate and he was left in front plenty long enough for useful German import Noble Alpha to gun him down in the straight, but Captain Sweet clung on gamely to scrape in by a short-head.

Trainer Danny Shum and jockey Zac Purton starred elsewhere on programme with both bagging trebles and special mention should be made of Shum’s feat as he also prepared two minor placegetters from the team of five runners he sent on the short walk to the track.

Shum, who now shares the lead at the head of the trainers’ table with John Size on 14 winners, engaged Purton to good effect on newcomer Fionn’s Treasure and particularly Scarlet Camellia as the latter took out his third race from four starts and could end up being a Derby candidate in March as stamina does appear to be his forte.

In his former guise, Bullish Champion raced as Crown Prosecutor for Brian Meehan and chased home Approve in last year’s Gimcrack Stakes at York and wasshedding his Hong Kong maiden status at the third time of asking. T
